Job Summary
 

This position within the Brand and Advertising team will focus on creating impactful campaigns for the growing Credit One Bank national brand.  The role will be responsible for developing leading PR strategies that drive further awareness and reinforce Credit One Bank’s leadership and expertise in financial services.  By developing Credit One Bank’s external thought leadership initiatives with leaders across the Bank in banking, finance, human resources, and credit education. Garnering further positive media as being a top Las Vegas Employer, supporting recruitment efforts. Working closely with product, brand, social media, and sponsorship teams to support efforts to enhance brand value from those relationships including NASCAR, Raiders, Vegas Golden Knights, and Charleston Tennis along with others that will develop.  

Summary of Essential Job Functions
 

  • Manage day-to-day interaction with the Agency as a key point of contact.
  • Develop briefs inclusive of communication goals, objectives, and success metrics for campaigns.
  • Support the implementation and management of national and local campaigns.
  • Manage budget and expenses, focusing on CPM to measure and evaluate tactics.
  • Monitor and assess agency monthly reporting for insights on performance and analysis of campaigns across tactics and channels.
  • Develop optimization recommendations and insights for future campaigns based on data-driven analysis of results.
  • Own the PR calendar and work with the social and content marketing teams to organize a cadence of PR opportunities that create spikes and tentpole moments for the brand.
  • Develop proactive strategies, programs, and tactics to promote product campaigns, including cobranded credit cards with entertainment and sports relationships.
  • Manage media relations and other external communications for the Bank’s partners and sponsorships.
  • Write and edit press releases and other communications materials including talking points, press statements, award submissions, pitches, and other briefing materials with local PR companies and national PR companies for company spokespeople.
  • Support the ideation and execution of innovative influencer campaigns on social channels and bring disruptive ideas to the table to drive earned media value.
  • Own the press section of the website and support content placed there including updated corporate fact sheet, media relations contacts, and any other media that needs to be there.
  • Lead and coordinate crisis communications efforts at the Bank and own those processes and procedures.
  • Staff events to manage press activities and support Bank leaders at speaking engagements as needed.
  • Work closely with the larger Marketing team and Compliance to support Brand-wide initiatives.
  • Work as a collaborative partner within the Bank, with external agencies, and key external partners.
  • Utilize strong, articulate, and thoughtful written and verbal communication skills.

Position Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Marketing, or a Communications-related field
  • 3-5 years of media experience and brand management
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a communications-related field
  • Agency or in-house marketing team experience
  • Superior writing and editing skills.
  • Must be a team player, with a leadership mentality that inspires great work across disciplines, and inherently, consumers.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, writing, organization, and client management skills
