Position Summary
Enterprise Architecture is accountable for creating a future technology & architecture blueprint that is tightly linked to Credit One’s business strategy and ensures that all Information Technology initiatives are advancing the blueprint. Our Enterprise Architecture team translates our customers’ business requirements into total enterprise-wide solutions. It takes deep technical knowledge to create architectural designs that exceed service requirements. This position will aid the department in meeting the company’s strategic goals.
Essential Job Functions:
- Builds a technology vision and strategy for a service line or technical discipline. Using a holistic approach, conducts enterprise analysis, design, planning, and implementation for the successful development and execution of strategy. Acts as the single point of contact (SPOC) between IT and the business for all things related to platform services. Champion and serve as the enterprise architect for transformation programs including digital platforms and integrations. You will lead design discovery sessions, and capture, and communicate value-driven options for opportunities for re-use through design and build of the common services platform.
- Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to develop a platform vision for an assigned business function.
- Develop “Common Platform Services” across the enterprise gathering requirements, PoC through to design and delivery.
- Promote re-use through inner sourcing opportunities.
- Collaborating with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and other Architects in shaping and aligning product roadmap and delivery of new features
- Presenting complex technical proposals to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Thought leader in modern digital platform builds.
- Experience in cloud computing architecture, IoT technical design, and cloud-native application development leveraging IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS delivery models.
- Deep experience in AGILE/Lean development methodologies, DevOps, and Cloud-based Application Development and Deployment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in a global organization
- Strong collaborative approach to problem solving.
- Possesses expertise across multiple architecture domains, and progressive thinking, and is well-versed in emerging technologies and trends.
- Have a strong, pragmatic approach to leading architecture and development solutions, with a proven record in agile delivery.
- 10 + years of experience with at least 5+ years in software development
- At least 5 years in an architectural or design capacity or has played product management roles.
- Experience in modern AWS & and Azure cloud technologies (Kubernetes service, IoT, Digital Twins, Cosmos, etc.) is a huge plus.
- Strong business acumen and successful track record in aligning diverse groups and opinions.
- Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and delivery models.
- Actively promote the mission of the company within the organization.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in technology, engineering, or related field
- 8-12 years of progressive Information Technology experience; 5 or more years of management and strategic experience
- Strong proficiency with cloud services (e.g.: OpenShift, Azure, AWS), modern JS frameworks (e.g.: React, Angular, NodeJS), SQL and NoSQL DBMS (e.g.: SQL Server, Postgresql, Mysql, Redis, MongoDB), Object-oriented development (e.g.: Java, Node.js, Go, Rust or .NET/C#), native and/or hybrid mobile development (e.g.: iOS, Android, React/React Native, Flutter, Ionic), REST-based microservice APIs, DevOps & CI/CD
- A master's understanding of software design principles.
- Ability to work through ambiguous and open-ended business requirements and priorities and translate the same into a clear roadmap and definition of success.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively and follow up to ensure achievement of deadlines, outcomes, and results.
