The VP of Data and Business Architecture will be a key contributor to partner with various Product Owners, Technology groups both internal and external to execute the long-term strategic roadmap for the Risk organization at Credit One Bank. The candidate must have extensive credit card experience and a strong complement of process change skills. They will serve as a leader and change agent by driving the various initiatives from idea to implementation. The candidate is responsible for partnering with various groups across Risk to create and recommend solutions that align with the bank's strategic goals and target state architecture. The candidate will partner with the Risk project management group to solidify the project scope, identify roles, and resource requirements, partner with Technology teams both internal and external on potential solutions, define and execute project deliverables.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
Cross-functional role supporting the entire Risk organization
Develop and manage business architecture and process architecture to align with Risk strategic vision
Leverage architecture and design balance the bank’s vision and mission with policy and development
Define and describe current and future business/ functional architecture.
Define data strategy from a Risk POV to have information available on present and future architectures.
Facilitate discussions with IT on the Enterprise Data Platform and modernization to align with the Risk vision
Partner with various Risk Business Owners, the Strategic Planning group, Process Owners, Technology, and other support teams to plan and deliver solutions.
Work with product owners to transform requirements into business process and functional architecture and handoff to IT for technical architecture and execution
Work with Compliance to identify applicable regulations and corresponding actions
Partner with Technology to assess capabilities, determine technical approach, and define technical needs to complete initiatives
Lead a team to work across both the business and Technology groups to ensure technical solutions delivered align with business needs and the strategic roadmap
Provide support and insight into significant organizational changes
Work with senior executives to make effective decisions
Keep up with new trends in the in the technology and financial services industries
Position Requirements
15+ years of functional architecture, data architecture, technology planning, technology development, and/or strategy experience
Business and Technology experience driving large modernization and transformation programs.
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Technology, Engineering, or related field
Experience in driving change with large scale initiatives.
Strong understanding of the credit card business and background with business applications
Proven experience with managing a large, complex group of stakeholders.
Understanding of Data and Data modernization concepts and D4 architectures
Experience building and managing large cross-functional teams.
Proven decision-making skills with an assertive and proactive communication style
Drives collaborative efforts to advance tools, technology, and ways of working
Understanding of the technology landscape
Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
Proven track record managing and developing a high performing team of analysts and business architects
Proficient using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
