Position Summary
This position is part of the Products Decision Management team. The team’s mission is to use data and technology to optimize the bank’s marketing and products efforts to new and existing customers. Your work will also involve monitoring competitors, identifying trends, and translating complex analyses into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
This position will primarily be responsible developing data-driven insights and recommendations from analysis using SAS, Tableau, Python, SQL/Oracle and Excel.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Analyzing large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and key insights using tools such as using SAS, Tableau, Python, SQL/Oracle and Excel.
- Gather information on competitors, market trends and customer preferences through third party provided data.
- Apply critical thinking and creativity to interpret data, identify opportunities and anticipate competitive threats.
- Mentor and teach other analysts on data wrangling.
- Assist with building and maintaining a data centric culture that is focused on accuracy and efficiency.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience or master’s degree and 2 years of experience.
- Expertise in SQL/Oracle, SAS, Python, or other data querying tools.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- The ability to work on multiple projects at once while keeping stakeholders abreast of project status.
- Superior verbal and written communication and follow-up skills.
- Strong analytical skills in banking or finance with the ability to read, interpret, and evaluate time-series tracking reports is preferred.
