Position Summary 

Will be responsible for the architecture, design and implementation of business-critical APIs and interfaces built on APIGEE platform.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on architecting, designing, implementing, and operating the Apigee Platform
  • Produce all required design specifications, work with the various internal project teams to create detailed technical task lists, provide technical guidance to the project team, and enforce Apigee project standards and best practices
  • Use Apigee recommended best practices and customer inputs to produce design artifacts and technical implementation tasks required for project execution
  • Design, build, test, operationalize the Apigee gateway for the upper and lower regions as well as the items to support clients and integrations
  • Provide leadership and advice for on-premises and cloud-based customer implementations-Guide the work of Technology Specialists on assigned projects
  • Work with the customer operations team to implement the requirements of infrastructure components
  • In cooperation with customers, build and execute API functional and performance test plans
  • Provide strong technical leadership and guidance to both customer and Apigee project teams

Position Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience implementing API Management platforms on-prem and Cloud
  • 4+ years of experience in public cloud infrastructure and administration
  • Experience in setting up and configuring Kubernetes clusters (GKE, EKS)
  • Experience in multi-cloud (AWS and GCP)
  • Experience in APIGEE Edge Hybrid setup and administration
  • Good understanding of Cassandra and Zookeeper
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript - Knowledge of Systems and Networking – TCP and IP, Switching, Routing, Firewalls, Load Balancing.
  • Experience with CI/CD Tools (Jenkins, GitHub) - Good understanding of REST API and JSON - Experience with high availability, load balancing and failover configurations with Apigee.
  • Ability to apply security, throttling, OAuth 2.0, TLS, certificates, KeyStore, and Trust store for the Apigee platform.

 

Preferred:

  • Expertise in configuring the Apigee Private Cloud platform, including keystores, trust stores, and KVMs
  • Experience with Apigee Management APIs and integrations with enterprise systems including Infrastructure & Application monitoring, SAML or LDAP SSO, and Logging.
  • Have previously worked on an enterprise platform team that supports multiple Software Development product teams.
