The Compliance Risk Analyst III will be responsible for performing second line of defense (2LOD) duties, which includes testing of regulatory requirements for the Bank. The position reports to the Vice President (VP) of Enterprise Risk (Second Line Compliance Testing [SLCT] Team).
Please note, this position is full-time, in-office, with no remote or hybrid option.
Essential Job Functions:
Analyze external complaint reports from both internal and external sources to assist in the planning of compliance testing reviews.
Assist the VP with preparing final reports, quality assurance, and other workpapers.
Assist with the coordination of regulatory exams, and internal or external audits.
Create written reports of findings and recommendations for senior leadership and executive management.
End-to-end execution of compliance testing reviews, which include analyzing and assessment of applicable laws and regulations.
Follow-up and follow-through with management and business partners to ensure corrective action has been taken on issues identified in testing.
Facilitate status update meetings with relevant business partners, as needed.
Maintain advanced knowledge of laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance related to the Bank's activities and products.
Manage review processes to ensure testing is completed accurately, with quality, and within testing timelines.
Prepare work papers and ensure documentation has been finalized for circulation with the VP, stakeholders, and senior leadership, which may include review announcements, planning documents, testing results, final reports, and quality assurance.
Present preliminary results throughout the reviews to departments, while maintaining a strong collaborative relationship with business partners and key stakeholders.
Provide feedback on governance and methodology materials for SLCT and/or Enterprise Risk.
Provide guidance to the business on developing control remediation plans to resolve issues identified in testing.
Review risk assessments in testing and as needed (e.g., when required by new, or amended, regulations and/or new product-types in the Bank).
Special projects and/or ad hoc duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent leadership skills.
Intermediate, advanced, or higher, skill levels in MS Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel + Pivot Tables and PowerPoint.
Experience as an examiner and/or tester (in any line of defense), with emphasis on consumer protection laws and regulations, preferred.
Basic understanding large data sets extracted from SAS, SQL, etc. preferred.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
