Credit One Bank is looking for a VP of Client Computing who will play a key role in evaluating, designing, implementing, and monitoring end-user devices for availability, performance, security, and recovery. It also includes the use of the relevant management tools to support these systems.
The post-holder will also assist the Infrastructure team in the provision and delivery of the client computing infrastructure & services. These systems include Desktops, (Hardware/Software), peripherals, Conferencing services, Microsoft O/S, related software/its configuration, and related security systems.
Additionally, the post-holder will be responsible for building a user- and business-centric strategic roadmap and evaluating the impact of BYOD strategies, app architecture, device selection, and governance.
Essential Job Functions:
Support and maintain operations of Hardware/Software, configuration, and installation services for PCs, laptops, mobile devices, and related peripherals, using remote tools as required
Assist the technology leadership team in liaising with system users and EUC Support and in developing service improvements
Assist the technology infrastructure team in managing and maintaining accurate records of hardware and software systems and service configurations and incorporate them into the EUC Change Management Process
Provide user departments advice for the optimum use of hardware and software and associated technologies
Monitor the efficient use of end-user services and address the nature of any misuse of the Authority’s resources
Liaise with EUC staff for the installation and provision of EUC hardware systems and software
Ensure all logged incidents are consistently acknowledged, prioritized, investigated, owned, and resolved to agreed targets as defined in the Service Level Agreement
Ensure all changes in the live environment are controlled through Change Management procedures - where applicable
Attempt to resolve reported incidents at the first point of contact with set procedures and to customer needs, utilizing remote support tools where possible
Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with industry Regulations and any other legal requirement (e.g., Health & Safety, Data Protection, Access to Information etc.) or relevant organizational guidelines (e.g., Information Security Policy)
Take responsibility for your own learning and development and take part in any training considered relevant to this role
Position Requirements:
7+ years of multi-national enterprise (1000+ users) experience with Microsoft Windows, Mac, and Linux Clients
Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy
Knowledge of Windows networking including DHCP, DNS, WINS
Knowledge of hardware component repair (Desktop, Laptop, Printer)
Knowledge of the major client software packages (MS Office, Oracle, Adobe, etc.)
Knowledge using SCCM (System Center Configuration Management)
Ability to successfully manage a group of computer technicians
Strong customer service and excellent communication skills along with the ability to mentor others in a team environment
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability
Self-starter with the ability to independently resolve problems
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with short timelines
Customer-centric and Service-minded
Ability to interact with all levels of users (end-users/executives)
Ability to work effectively independently and in a team-oriented environment
Occasional travel may be required
Ability to lift to 50 lbs. as required and relocate/move servers and network equipment
Ability to bend, stretch, and kneel to perform cable management
Attention to detail to properly install, label, and appropriately route network cables
Adhere to data center cabling guidelines
Moves/Adds/Changes – move computers when necessary
Ability to physically lift, bend, and crawl under desks
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or technical certification in Windows Server 2012/2016 Administration or equivalent work experience
