Position Summary 

The VP, of IT Development (Pega) will work with the IT leadership in conjunction with other department leaders to define, develop, deploy, and maintain Pega functionality applications. The VP, of IT Development (Pega) is expected to build strong relationships in IT, with a focus on collaboration and direct communication. This position will aid the department in meeting the company’s strategic goals.

Essential Job Functions:

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of Pega solutions for our organization.
  • This role requires strong technical expertise in Pega systems and the ability to lead a team to deliver high-quality solutions within specified timelines.
  • The Pega Lead will work closely with various stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, and project managers, to ensure that Pega applications meet business requirements and adhere to best practices.
  • Lead and manage a team of Pega developers to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to industry best practices.
  • Design and develop Pega applications, ensuring that they are scalable, efficient, and maintainable.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects, solution architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to build robust applications.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, assisting with problem-solving and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Conduct regular code reviews and ensure that development standards are followed to maintain code quality and consistency.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the Pega platform, proposing and implementing solutions accordingly.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in Pega technology and recommend enhancements or upgrades to existing systems to maximize efficiency and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Oversee multiple project teams, ensuring program goals are reached Continuously evaluate technical efficiency and recommend changes as necessary.
  • Support IT leadership functions including annual planning, budgeting, status reporting, presentations, and continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for project communications, identification of issues/risks, and escalation of critical issues to senior leaders. Provides recommendations and/or solutions for identified issues.
  • Build a culture dedicated to Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, and Quality.
  • Forecast and manage finances for large IT programs.
  • Excellent knowledge of applying SCRUM/Agile/Lean start-up methodologies.
  • Actively promotes the mission of the company within the organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, engineering, or related field
  • 8-12 years of progressive Information Technology experience; 5 or more years of management and strategic experience
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role, related to Pega.
  • CSA or Certified System Architect certification and/or PEGA LSA (Lead System Architect) certification is preferred.
  • Outstanding working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and follow up to ensure achievement of deadlines, outcomes, and results.
  • Demonstrate company core values of excellence, ownership, collaboration, and integrity.

Preferred:

  • MBA/MS in a related field preferred
