Position Summary
This position is a part of the Risk Management department. Our risk professionals are responsible for identifying revenue opportunities and analyzing risk trends by closely monitoring the performance of our acquisition program, existing portfolio, growth opportunities, and general market trends. The Risk Analyst I will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies related to acquisitions, authorizations, collection, fraud prevention, retention, and the sale of revenue-based products.
The Risk Analyst I position will primarily be responsible for supporting the Bank’s Multiple Account program. This position will focus on analyzing and reporting on the performance of the Bank’s acquisition strategies within this program. Key responsibilities include developing and automating reports to track the Multiple Account Program’s historical performance, analyzing the profitability impact of different strategies, presenting findings to upper management, and making recommendations for opportunities to enhance profitability and/or mitigate risk.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Provide in-depth analysis of financial and operational data to support the development of business processes, particularly within the Multiple Account program.
- Focus on financial performance indicators related to delinquency and profitability measures.
- Generate insightful narratives, presentations, and reports that align with senior management’s expectations.
- Improve and simplify existing reporting methods and processes.
- Utilize advanced financial analytical skills and be able to read, interpret, and evaluate time-series tracking reports.
- Apply fundamental knowledge of credit scoring, underwriting, and credit risk management to evaluate and mitigate potential risks within the Multiple Account program.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
- Master's Degree in Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, Business, Math, Statistics, or a related field.
- 1+ years of analytical experience in Banking, Finance, or Gaming.
- Working knowledge of one or more of the following: SAS Enterprise Guide, SQL, Excel, Python, R, or Tableau is desired.
- Effective data mining skills and the ability to explain changing data dynamics.
- Experience in credit card acquisitions.
- Intellectual horsepower with problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of financial analysis and profitability drivers.
- Self-starter, who can work independently with a high degree of organization on several projects simultaneously.
- Sufficient self-confidence and ability to propose new ideas/solutions.
- Ability to quickly assimilate and analyze large amounts of information.
- Must be proficient in financial modeling procedures.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft tool suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Preferred (Not Required)
- 3+ years of Consumer Credit Card industry experience
- 3+ years of advanced use of at least one of the following: SQL Server, Oracle, SAS or Python
