Position Summary

This position is a senior manager role with a focus on strategic planning and a vision for bringing a brand to life through social channels. Having a strong background in brand strategy and understanding how to leverage social platforms to amplify the brand is fundamental to this role. With a focus on the brand position and creative platform as a guiding star, this team member will use their strategic vision to bring the brand to life, being true to the essence of the brand and the nature of the social platforms. This position also must be a strong leader capable of interfacing across levels of the organization from executive leadership to junior team members, and work with outside vendors. 

Key functions include developing and deploying the social strategy (for organic, owned, and paid), overseeing the social media team budget, content planning and tactical oversight, influencer programs, and PR/sponsorship integrations. Candidate must be well-versed in current and emerging digital and social platforms and understand each platform’s unique attributes to best convey Credit One Bank’s brand message in a relevant way. In addition, this role will support other media campaigns beyond social, as needed, as part of integrated campaigns.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Develop social media strategy to increase brand awareness by bringing the brand positioning and creative platform to life in a socially relevant way
  • Champion bold and innovative work that delivers on brand goals and objectives
  • Create social media roadmap and annual plan for tactical execution supporting the strategy
  • Lead associated projects for campaign execution, engaging team members and cross-department resources
  • Develop creative and media briefs for agency partners that align with established goals and brand strategy to support initiatives such as new product launches and brand campaigns
  • Manage day-to-day interaction with Agency of Record on social media projects to ensure delivery on time and within budget
  • Lead social media influencer programs including following all FTC guidelines, Bank procedures, and ensuring measurement of campaign ROI
  • Evaluate campaign performance in partnership with the analytics team, and make recommendations for future optimizations and innovative tests
  • Actively participate in the planning of integrated campaigns to support the brand message and reach the target audience
  • Direct meetings with stakeholders across the Bank to launch social initiatives that support product, partnerships, human resources and more
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Percent of time spent traveling: 2-3 trips per year on average

Position Requirements

  • 5+ years of social media leadership
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a communications-related field
  • Ability to create compelling content briefs
  • Lead inter-office and partner meetings with confidence
  • Significant social platform exposure and understanding how best to create content for each platform
  • Experience with social media tools such as Sprinklr, Brandwatch, or Hootsuite
  • Understanding of Microsoft suite
  • Must be a team leader that inspires and mentors team members to do great work across disciplines
  • Superior presentation, communication, writing, organization and project management skills
