Position Summary
Credit One Bank is looking for a Process Accounting Workflow Representative who will be primarily responsible for overseeing the In-House Payment processing. This includes quality monitoring, team training, and providing feedback to the In-House Payment team.
This Workflow Representative position will also serve as a backup to other team members responsible for allocating and ensuring the completion of tasks to the Process Accounting representatives, including but not limited to adjustments, transactions, and payments to credit card accounts. The individual must demonstrate high proficiency in the many aspects of the daily functions of the department and will be responsible for importing, transforming, and validating data with the purpose of creating robust processes that allow detailed analysis and monitoring of the department's KPIs.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Make recommendations to the department supervisor on any matter affecting productivity, efficiency, service, or problem resolution.
- Data entry
- Oversee the distribution of work relating to In House Payments (prioritization when necessary).
- Oversee payment balancing logs performed by the team.
- Handle complex or special handling requests.
- Review and validate customers’ activities.
- Prepare payments for deposit/transmission.
- Track and manage all In House Payments reporting.
- Exercise reasonable judgment in performing duties while maintaining processing and quality standards.
- Process customer adjustments related but not limited to payments and fee adjustments.
- Assist with special projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent education is required.
- Minimum 2 years (3 years preferred) of payment processing and payment research.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience teaching or training others.
- Must have knowledge of posting adjustments to card members' accounts.
- Familiarity with accounting as it relates to the posting of debits and credits and their impact on the balance along with the ability to balance/reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Excellent problem-solving and resolution skills.
- Intermediate computer skills including MS Word and Excel are required.
- Open, close, and create a worksheet. Import/export, add, copy, or modify data. Format or change formulas.
- 10-key by touch with the ability to type 45-50 wpm.
- Will work under minimal supervision and exercise reasonable judgment in performing duties.
- Ability to learn multiple applications and maneuver between multiple assignments preferred.
- Experience with FDR System and batch processing.
- Preference is given to those with professional experience working in a fast-paced credit card industry within a back-office environment.
