The Risk Technology User Acceptance Tester (UAT) will play a key role in evaluating user story scope and performing testing prior to deployment. The ideal candidate will develop positive/negative test scenarios and scripts based on user stories in line with defined workflows and use cases. In addition, the Risk UAT will test and validate functionality delivered across applications and workflows to demonstrate that the system functions as expected.
Essential Job Functions
Design, develop, and implement test plans, scripts, and tools using detailed user stories
Work with appropriate business and technology leads to determine the acceptable range for UAT results
Assess and revise validation sequence and scope based on testing results and/or changes in product design
Assess readiness and deviation of product/project performance based on the test results and product specifications
Work closely with the technology team to identify/resolve defects and mitigate risks in a timely manner
Collaborate on the design of the overall integrity of the testing strategy
Continually identify ways to improve coverage, decrease software defects, and minimize manual testing
Strong ability to effectively communicate with management, technology, and business users
Develop UAT processes and approaches
Reconcile results from different test results and different groups
Position Requirements
Experience in the financial services industry, with an emphasis on credit card processing is preferred
College degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 3+ years of testing experience required
3+ years’ experience creating test plans, test scenarios, and test scripts required
Expertise in testing tools such as Postman, JIRA X-Ray, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), etc.
Demonstrated ability to work as a team player; develop solutions to complex problems, thinking outside the box and recommending the best solution
Strong attention to detail with a customer-centric focus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong knowledge of technology agile delivery methodologies; Kanban, Scrum, and Scaled Agile
Strong skills in Microsoft Office
Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the flexibility, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, highly complex environment
Experience with Risk strategies (Fraud, Collections, etc.) is a plus
