Position Summary

We are currently looking for a Senior Product Analyst to join Credit One's Products Team. The Products Team is a newly created group within the bank responsible for profitability expanding our product line with innovative credit card offerings, while also managing our existing products to meet financial hurdles. In this role, you'll report directly to the AVP of Product Management, and will play a key role in assessing strategies across targeting, universe selection, cutoff analysis, score utilization, and product mix optimization.


Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Evaluate the viability of new products, partnerships, and new business opportunities
  • Apply statistical techniques to deliver accretive strategies across targeting, universe expansion, cutoff analysis, product mix optimization, and score utilization
  • Lead analyses to evaluate the risk and profitability of new and existing programs across the entire credit spectrum.
  • Analyze, review and provide recommendations to improve and streamline models, reports, and analyses prepared by others
  • Utilize database tools to manage, manipulate and analyze large sets of data
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis as requested, primarily related to anomaly detection, investigation, and explanation
  • Identify new testing opportunities in order to optimize portfolio mix and profitability
  • Forecasting account performance, revenues, and costs related to new products/portfolios
  • Recognize where existing products are not meeting expectations, recommend and implement enhancements
  • Manage product profitability to meet financial hurdles

 

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant work experience in credit cards, financial services, insurance, or similar industry
  • Advanced demonstrable use of at least one of the following: SQL Server, Oracle, Python or SAS
  • Advanced excel skills and the ability to build, understand, and follow complex models
  • Proficient in data modeling, econometric, and statistical procedures 
  • Strong data mining skills and the ability to explain changing data dynamics
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to take ownership of the role and a keen ability to partner with senior management to understand their needs and drive solutions from start to finish
  • Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a small team on a day-to-day basis
  • Exceptionally detail oriented and analytically savvy
  • Capable of preparing & delivering accurate and logical presentations in PowerPoint
