Position Summary

As an Assistant Vice-President - Fraud Risk, you will guide the strategic development of acquisition fraud risk mitigation capabilities for credit and deposit products. You will lead a team of analysts to optimize the tools and guide the creation of new strategies from the ground up to minimize fraud losses while maintaining a great customer experience. The ideal candidate is a leader who is well versed in financial fraud and can steer the team towards continued success.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Manage the priorities of the Acquisition Fraud Risk team in order to achieve department goals
  • Monitor the performance of fraud risk strategies to ensure an optimal balance between risk and customer experience
  • Lead the team to develop root cause analysis of fraud events and create appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Support the implementation of a new platform for real-time decisioning of applications
  • Partner and collaborate with various business partners such as Credit, Operations, Compliance, Marketing, and Technology teams
  • Responsible for achieving the goals for acquisition fraud risk
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Economics, Business, Math, Finance or related field
  • 7+ years analytical experience in financial products, with a minimum of 2 years in  Fraud Risk Management or similar strategy environment in Loan Originations
  • Ability to guide and develop a team of strategy analysts
  • Proficiency in SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Enterprise Miner, SQL or a similar data analysis tool
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.


Preferred 

  • Experience with creating strategies for a decision engine
