Job Summary

This position within the Brand and Advertising team will focus on creating impactful campaigns for the growing Credit One Bank national brand.  The Communications Officer role will be responsible for developing leading PR and Brand strategies that drive further awareness and reinforce Credit One Bank’s leadership and expertise in financial services.  This person will be responsible for developing Credit One Bank’s external communications strategy and plan to the general public with cross functional leads across the bank. Working closely with outbound and inbound marketing, brand, social media, and Marcom teams to lead efforts that enhance our brand.

 

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Lead as collaborative partner within the Bank, with leading industry external agencies, and key external partners.
  • Develop briefs inclusive of communication goals, objectives, and success metrics for campaigns.
  • Support the implementation and management of national and local campaigns.
  • Establish KPI’s, monitor and assess agency monthly reporting for insights on performance and analysis of campaigns across tactics and channels.
  • Develop optimization recommendations and insights for future campaigns based on data-driven analysis of results.
  • Own the PR calendar and work with internal and external marketing teams to develop proactive strategic programs and PR opportunities that create spikes and tentpole moments for the brand.
  • Manage media relations and other external communications for the Bank’s partners.
  • Support the ideation and execution of innovative influencer campaigns on social channels and bring disruptive ideas to the table to drive earned media value.
  • Own the press section of the website and support content placed there including updated corporate fact sheet, media relations contacts, and any other media that needs to be there.
  • Work closely with the larger Marketing team and Compliance to support Brand-wide initiatives.
  • Utilize strong, articulate, and thoughtful written and verbal communication skills.
  • Lead and support executive level presentation development with Marcom as needed.

 

Position Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Marketing, or a Communications-related field
  • 15 years of PR and brand management
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a communications-related field
  • Agency or in-house marketing team experience
  • Superior writing and editing skills.
  • Must be a team player, with a leadership mentality that inspires great work across disciplines, and inherently, consumers.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, writing, organization, and client management skills.
