Internal - Collections Team Lead

Position Summary 

Credit One Bank is looking for a Collections Team Lead, reporting directly to the Collections Manager, to support the collection of accounts, analyze account status, and determine the appropriate action in adherence to company policies and all applicable laws.
 

Essential Job Functions

  • Communicate the importance of resolving delinquency
  • Use experience and product knowledge to effectively overcome objections and resolve outstanding issues in a professional manner
  • Provide direction to control accounts receivable delinquency and bad debt losses within company operating objectives
  • Maintain customer goodwill and ensures adherence to all applicable and required collection practices
  • Consistently operate under strong leadership principles
  • Analyze collection accounts, identify positive and negative trends, and make appropriate recommendations for improvement
  • Deliver results within acceptable levels of delinquency by reviewing daily strategy and making recommendations for immediate or future changes
  • Adhere to operating standards and best practices to minimize collector turnover
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

  • Previous Collections experience required
  • Significant focus on team as well as individual achievement
  • Ability to establish and maintain a diplomatic approach to collections
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Desire, skill, and confidence to identify and meet business needs with little direction
  • Clear understanding and knowledge of FDCPA (Fair Debt Credit Practices Act)
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
